Circuits are used to describe electronic circuits, or mathematical expressions involving circuits. They are a useful tool when a circuit description needs to be found, or when the relation between two or more circuits needs to be known. Generally, an "IC" denotes an integrated circuit, meaning that it is usually a single, monolithic, lumped-circuit module. ICs are sometimes called "chips" when they are mounted on a printed circuit board. Unlike discrete components such as transistors, resistors and capacitors, ICs are usually mass-produced by placing small quantities of identical circuit modules on a single piece of thin, flexible, non-conductive material called a substrate. Such a substrate can be permanently glued or bonded to a flat piece of sheet metal, commonly called a printed circuit board (PCB), and can provide an extremely stable and convenient means for connecting ICs in a dense and reliable array. The printed circuit board is commonly designed to also provide one or more conductive metal traces called "wires" which carry current to and from the ICs on the substrate. The ICs themselves are most often mounted on top of the substrate. The IC itself is the "active" part of the circuit, in the sense that the voltages and currents flowing within it determine the functionality of the circuit. The IC also includes the reference voltages and currents necessary to operate other ICs which are connected to the same PCB. Thus, while ICs usually represent only a small part of the overall circuit, their function is nevertheless crucial for the working of the circuit. (At the time of this writing, ICs are usually one of the two or three most common types of electronic devices.) The amount of circuitry that can be built into a single IC has increased greatly over the past few decades, due to the fact that the IC fabrication process is extremely precise, accurate and efficient. This new level of accuracy in IC fabrication is often reflected in the name of the IC, such as the Microchip "MPF141" IC, which is a microprocessor with an accuracy of 0.14% over a 12-bit A/D converter. In the course of development, ICs have become more powerful and complex. In addition to performing their main function of manipulating data, many ICs now perform other functions such as the following: Clock generation Sequential logic control Synchronization and timing Data encryption and decryption State switching

The circuit has negative feedback, because a wire is added to the gain of the circuit. The circuit has active components because the resistor has a label that says R1 The circuit has active components, but it is a power supply and not an amplifier The circuit is not biased because it has no need for a capacitor. How can a circuit with a negative feedback loop be biased? What do we mean by "biased" here? Why do we not need a capacitor here? A: There are lots of answers to this, but I'll put it in somewhat simplified terms. Feedback can be used to keep your circuit stable, or to amplify a signal. The way you tell is by looking at the feedback connection. Positive feedback amplifies a signal and keeps the output of the circuit from getting pulled down below the inputs. Negative feedback keeps the output from getting pulled up above the input. No capacitor is needed because the load resistor is equal to the positive feedback resistor (R1) so there is no need to have another resistor (or any resistor) to separate the load from the input. In this case the negative feedback is just doing its job of making sure the output stays a bit above the input voltage. It would look something like this, with a resistor of 1K in place of the resistor, R1: simulate this circuit – Schematic created using CircuitLab Looks like you want to be in the Large group, however, you have not been invited to this group, so I cannot send you an invite to this group, as the group requires a minimum number of members. Save time and effort with AutoCAD’s markup assist. Point and click to create custom annotations, automatically wrap lines and text around objects in your drawings. Bring your understanding of how your design will be printed, assembled, or viewed to a new level. (video: 2:00 min.) With the new Markup Assist feature, you’re able to quickly create custom annotations that your design will need to be able to communicate. By first importing a full page of your document into AutoCAD, then adding custom annotations, you can capture important information and design concepts. Color Management and Line Quality: Create rich colors and print very high-quality lines in your drawings. Use Color Profiles to track changes over time and scale to any display. Follow guides on the fly. Set a tolerance between lines to avoid ragged edges and soften transitions. See exactly what your design looks like at different scales. (video: 3:00 min.) AutoCAD Color Profiles, a new tool, allows you to easily store color settings in a single file that you can use to modify your drawing or multiple drawings over time. The Line Quality feature, new to AutoCAD 2023, can be used to control the sharpness of lines, the accuracy of angles, and the spacing between lines in your drawings.
